This role is focused on out-bound lead generation with high-growth opportunities - we want to help you progress from a Strategic Sales Development Representative into an Inside Sales or Account Executive role within 12 months! Total on target first year compensation exceeds $75,000 including $45,000 - 50,000 base salary to commensurate with experience and commissions that increase as quota thresholds are met.

What You’ll Do

This position will help you build the foundation for a successful career in technology sales. Through out-bounding, you will generate leads and cultivate sales opportunities with school districts, workforce intermediaries, and colleges across the US. As the first touchpoint in the sales cycle, you will use excellent communication skills and a consultative approach to identify pain points that Transeo can address such as evolving high school graduation requirements, complex student journeys, and post-high school preparedness. Because Transeo’s suite crosses the traditional silos of a school district and decision-makers are varied, you will determine the context of each potential persona to generate interest and set the right meetings with the right people. Your core responsibilities are to:

  • Generate qualified sales opportunities with educational institutions and intermediaries through outbound and inbound lead generation using creative, tailored cold calling and emails
  • Prospect and cultivate relationships with target audiences based on their specific pain points and needs
    • Conduct targeted, hyper-localized, persona-based research
    • Develop prioritized prospecting lists and strategies
    • Target audiences include: school and district administration, advisors, counselors, career and technical educators, school-based leaders, assistant superintendents and superintendents
  • Engage in quality conversations with qualified decision-makers and set high-value meetings for Strategic Sales Consultants
  • Partner with Strategic Sales Consultants to effectively and efficiently move opportunities through sales cycle using a consultative approach
  • Collaborate with marketing, Strategic Sales Consultants, and other Strategic Sales Development Representatives to continuously improve approach
  • Maintain records in Salesforce and conduct other routine data entry
  • Participate as a member of the Sales team in weekly rhythms, performance management meetings, problem-solving sessions, etc.

  • Preferred: B2B SaaS sales experience and / or experience selling within the education ecosystem
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
