Transeo (we provide software solutions to schools and school districts nationwide) is growing and seeking to hire a Content Development Manager focused on e-learning and training. Reporting to our VP of Product, you will work closely with our sales and customer success teams to create and deploy engaging training and informational resources for our education-based customers. Being a fast-growing startup, we need a self-starter and "doer" who will develop engaging content that enables users to navigate and master our software as deeply and quickly as possible.

An ideal candidate has well-rounded experiences that have prepared him or her to test software, develop user guides and training materials for software products, and address FAQs in a systematic manner.

The Role

Collaborating with our Product and Customer Success teams, you will develop and curate a comprehensive library of knowledge and informational resources that encourage our customers to effectively utilize the Transeo product suite. You will methodically build, and iterate a well-designed framework of content that ensures that all users become quickly skilled and consistently satisfied. Content mediums include knowledge base articles, videos, asynchronous courses, live webinars, etc.

The selected candidate will develop, structure, and manage the knowledge materials that will ensure a successful engagement with our product suite across all user groups.

You will also test new releases and recently developed software to ensure it works as intended and to provide feedback to our product and development teams from a user's perspective.

The ultimate goal is to collaborate with our customer experience, sales, product, and marketing teams to empower our customers in partner school districts with the accessible and consumable information required to use our platform to their full potential.

What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain an extensive working knowledge of the Transeo product suite.
  • Contribute to Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure our new releases work properly and meet specified requirements.
  • Develop, manage and evolve user-accessible and consumable content (Product Knowledge, Workflow, FAQ) for classroom, self-directed and web-based delivery mediums; ensuring a successful, interactive, and effective learning experience.
  • Constantly and consistently update training content in the systems where it may be hosted (LMS, Zendesk, ChurnZero, etc,).
  • Iterate content as the product evolves and additional needs are identified via user feedback, customer requests, and market trends.
  • Interact with customers and team members to solicit product insights and feedback to create new and curate existing content.
  • Utilize product adoption data and customer insights to drive the strategic development of effective training materials.
  • Contribute to the ongoing design and deployment of instructional frameworks and content including written copy and videos, that structure our training materials and resources in a logical manner, enabling our customers to quickly orient themselves with the general user journey and successfully navigate any step and every path within their platform.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years experience in content development/copywriting focused on training curriculum, user manuals, and FAQs.
  • Must have video creation and editing experience (iMovie, Camtasia, or similar)
  • Strong written, oral, and visual communication skills are essential. This role requires you to collaborate across multiple teams and communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to cultivate positive working relationships with partners and Transeo team members.
  • Develop and deploy content with a special ‘human touch’ ensuring material is consumable, inspiring, fun, and reflective of our culture.
  • Experience documenting usage of software products is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook), Powerpoint, Adobe Photoshop, and/or Adobe InDesign.
  • Ability to be strategic and creative to propose ways to optimize our help center and video content.
  • Able to effectively manage your time, fulfill requests within communicated deadlines, and prioritize tasks based on urgency and value to the company.
  • Self-Managing (especially important as this is a Remote position), organized, adaptable, and flexible.
  • High energy, upbeat, optimistic, and energetic.
  • Strong follow-up and project management skills.
  • Ability to learn web-based applications to help manage this work.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $65,000.00 plus commensurate with experience. We also provide the following benefits to all employees:
